Delivery Policy

Same Day Delivery:

Orders for same day delivery should be placed by 12 Noon in the recipient's time zone. If you would like, you can call our customer service lines at 917.789.6510 to request delivery (if available) after this time for same day delivery. Orders received after 12 Noon in the recipients time zone will be scheduled for the next business day's delivery.

Delivery Times:

In most cases, residential deliveries are made between the hours of 10am to 8 pm. Business deliveries are scheduled between 9 am and 5 pm. School and hospital deliveries typically arrive between 9 am and 2 pm. For all delivery locations, customers should check to see if the recipient will be at their proposed delivery address.

Hand Delivery Fee:

The Service Charge per item for Balloon Bouquet is $15.00 and based on location.

Substitution Policy

For all hospital orders, any latex balloons included will be substituted with Mylars since the hospitals do not allow latex. Care is taken to maintain the style, theme and color scheme of the arrangement, using balloons of equal value. Additionally, the substitution of certain items may be necessary due to increased demand, especially during major holidays. In single-balloon and flower arrangements, such as an all rose bouquet, we will make every attempt to match the flower type but may substitute with another color. SAME DAY DELIVERIES - MUST BE PLACED BY 10 AM AND THE SAME DAY DELIVERY FEE MUST BE PAID. SATURDAY & SUNDAY DELIVERIES - WEEKEND DELIVERIES WILL INCUR AN ADDITIONAL FEE

CANCELLATION:

Scheduling your delivery purchases services and time, including but not limited to expenses such as reserving a time slot and room on our truck, and incurs preparation labor time, and credit card fees. Therefore, if you cancel after your order has been placed, we will refund the total less a 15% cancellation fee. Once balloons are inflated, the purchase is non-refundable.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

We reserve the right to substitute for balloons that are not in stock, provided the substitution will not substantially change the theme of the bouquet.

RETURN POLICIES

BALLOON BOUQUETS:

Due to the nature of balloons, they may pop or deflate prematurely. We will be happy to replace any product deemed to be defective. Under certain circumstances, at our discretion, we may deem it appropriate to make a full or partial refund. Our Balloons are guaranteed to last indoors for 2 days.

DELIVERY POLICY

RESIDENTIAL DELIVERIES:

Please provide correct home, work and cell phone numbers for both client and recipient. If no one is home to receive the balloons we may call the recipient to advise them that a gift is waiting. We will make every effort to be discrete in our effort to coordinate a delivery time. Clients are advised that this process does pose a risk of exposing an intended surprise and a potentially late delivery.

SCHOOL DELIVERIES:

Some schools have restrictions on balloon deliveries. Please contact the respective institution for approval, prior to ordering.

HOTEL DELIVERIES:

For security reasons we are unable to deliver balloons directly to guest's rooms. All hotel deliveries for guests are left with the concierge, the front desk, or the loading dock, depending on the hotel's policy. Once the balloons have been delivered to one of these locations, we consider the delivery accomplished. Customers sending balloons to hotel guests are encouraged to contact the hotel to confirm that the balloons have been transferred to the guest by the hotel.

DELIVERIES TO SECURE FACILITIES:

In many high-rise office buildings and other facilities with restricted access, we are usually required to leave the balloons with a receptionist or messenger center. We will attempt to leave a message with the recipient advising that a delivery has been made and is ready for pick-up. Once the balloons have been delivered to the receptionist or messenger center, we consider the delivery accomplished.

HOSPITAL DELIVERIES:

Mylar balloons are recommended since they last longer and do not pose a threat to persons with latex allergies. Most hospitals do not allow latex balloon deliveries. Mylar balloons are perfect. Patients in ICU are not permitted to receive balloons. Please wait for a room assignment to cheer them.

BALLOON PERFORMANCE

BALLOONS — WE WISH THEY WOULD LAST FOREVER:

World of Balloons Nyc, uses the highest grade balloons manufactured, however, even the world's best balloons are fragile products with a relatively short life span. When ordering or sending balloons, expect to enjoy them for 2-3 days if used indoors, and less than a full day if used outdoors. Under ideal conditions, balloons can float much longer, but our guarantee is limited to the 2-3 day range. More details follow.

FLOAT TIMES:

Cold air, hot air, high humidity, changing barometric pressure, high altitudes, and moving air from fans and vents will reduce balloon float times. The float times posted on our site are the maximum to be expected. Changing conditions mean that on some occasions balloons may float for only one day, and on other occasions the same balloons may float for many days. We guarantee that your balloons will be delivered in perfect condition, but float times are not guaranteed. The following standard float times apply to balloon-friendly indoor environments.

FLOAT TIMES FOR MYLAR BALLOONS:

In optimum environments, mylar (foil) balloons will remain full and taught for 2-3 days. Air-conditioned air may cause these balloons to shrivel, but they will return to a normal state when exposed to warmer air.

FLOAT TIMES FOR LATEX BALLOONS WITHOUT HI-FLOAT®

TREATMENT:

16-inch latex balloons will float indoors for 30 hours. 11-inch latex balloons will float indoors for 16 hours. Float times may be reduced by as much as 60% at elevations above 2,500 feet.

HI-FLOAT TREATMENT:

Hi-Float is a non-toxic sealant used inside of the balloon. It is effective only when used indoors, out of direct sunlight, and when not exposed to breezes created by fans, open windows, or air-conditioning. In ideal conditions Hi- Float will extend float times as follows:

• 11-inch latex: 2-3 Days
• 16-inch latex: 3 Days

Float time may be reduced significantly in unusually warm, unusually cool, or very humid environments, and at elevations above 2,500 feet. Any bouquet or balloon which includes the letters HF in the product number include treatment with Hi-Float®. Bulk orders of plain latex balloons can be ordered with or without Hi-Float®.

GLOSSY VS MATTE FINISH:

When latex balloons are first inflated, they will have a glossy surface. Some designs will be both glossy and translucent. This can be a temporary state. By the time they are delivered, or shortly thereafter, this glossy finish may have turned to a matte finish, and the translucent quality may become opaque. These changes are the result of oxidation, which occurs with certain meteorological conditions. This is normal, and there is no practical treatment that can prevent this transformation.

DEFECTIVE BALLOONS:

In cases where balloons appear defective, World of Balloons, Nyc will replace the balloons at no cost if the following conditions are met: a) Customer advises WOB of the problem within 24 hours of delivery. b) The defective balloons are on site and available for pick-up when the replacement balloons arrive. c) The balloons were not transported from their original delivery location.

EFFECTS OF ELEVATION, SUNLIGHT, AIR CONDITIONING, AND WIND

Float times will be reduced at higher elevations. On hot days, in direct sunlight, balloons may pop within an hour. The same result can occur indoors if balloons are exposed to direct sunlight through windows. Very cool environments may cause helium molecules to shrink, reducing the size and float time of balloons. A constant breeze passing around a balloon will increase the speed at which helium molecules escape through the wall of the balloon, resulting in reduced float time.

CEILING PRECAUTIONS

Static and invisible fibers on ceilings can cause balloons to pop. Allow your balloons to remain tied to an anchor for at least five hours before releasing them to the ceiling. This allows the balloons to shrink enough so that the skin becomes thicker and tougher. After five hours, take 2-3 balloons and rake them across the ceiling. If these do not pop, it should be safe to release additional balloons. If they do pop, allow additional time and run the test again.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Do not breathe helium from a balloon. Helium is not toxic nor flammable, but breathing it can result in asphyxiation (loss of consciousness due to insufficient oxygen). Do not release mylar (foil) balloons outdoors. Power failures can result if these balloons become entangled in electric lines. Popped latex balloons present a choking hazard for small children. Do not leave small children unaccompanied with latex balloons.
